Paul Y. M. Leung

Principal Lawyer

Paul is the principal lawyer of Chen & Leung and has played a key role in the firm’s growth since joining its predecessor, Joe & Company, in the 1980s. Bringing nearly four decades of experience, his practice focuses on commercial lending, real estate development, and corporate matters, with a reputation for delivering practical, business-minded advice on complex transactions.

Over the years, he has acted for financial institutions, developers, private lenders, and business owners across a wide range of financing and development matters throughout the Lower Mainland. His work includes commercial secured lending, acquisition and construction financing, land assemblies, commercial leasing, and large-scale residential and mixed-use developments. He also regularly serves as designated counsel for major Canadian financial institutions and advises on sophisticated private lending transactions.

Paul enjoys spending time with family, swimming, and golfing.
